Description:
The “Sculptures” are based on the installation of glass/Plexiglas/light filter plastics panels in public spaces, in such a way that the effect produced, resemble the blurs that Google provided over buildings and houses in the Street View. These panels mimic some of the shapes that these blurred surfaces have. Sidewalks, parks, facades and any other area where the presence of these elements could seems inexplicable and absurd, are the places where the installation would function.
Although some of the works may only relay in the sculptural aspect of the objects, other are used as intervention in the public space.
Ideas like privacy, identity and security in the current social context are commented in these series of works. It aims to materialize physically these images, to oppose the meaning they have in the virtual space with the nonsense they acquire in real public places.
