Performance. Ciego de Ávila, Cuba. 2004

It reconstructed the traditional dinner of December 31 as scenario to establish contacts with the Jewish Easter (Pesakh) and the Cuban popular celebration. Both festivities represent the beginning of a new year and they remember a political liberation. The work emphasized that those celebrations, as well as other of this kind, are erected about the death of many people that forged it. As metaphorical image, the tables and the seats were covered with used military uniforms, spotted with the blood of the same pig that was eaten during the performance.
